The center’s philosophies are inspired by the Balinese way of life, which nurtures harmony with spirit, the environment and one another. Such an enchanted Balinese setting, with indoor and outdoor spaces, against the serene and beautiful backdrop of the sacred Ayung River, makes Fivelements Puri Ahimsa an inspiring location for our Yoga retreat. This week of Yoga and meditation will be in a truly spiritual place, offering an array of healing therapies, sacred spaces for ceremonies and group activities, fine-dining healing cuisine and a culinary class. An event not to be missed!
All rooms for this retreat are Twin Share.
Couples can enjoy sharing the King size bed.
Singles can either book the King size bed or the Sofa bed (retreat packages are priced accordingly).
Each room flanks the hypnotizing rhythms of the sacred Ayung River as it carves its way through the valley. Facing a verdant forest hillside with waterfalls and the natural wonders that are often captured in Balinese paintings, each suite features an open veranda exposed to the river’s swirling currents, and a private bamboo enclosure housing a large open-air bathtub hewn from a stone boulder. A customized lighting design showcases the seven colours of the chakras, bringing mind, body and spirit in unison with nature.
The spacious, eco-luxurious bedroom villas, complete with ensuite garden bathrooms, ensure an exclusive stay with exemplary personalized service. The suites are named after each of the five elements in Balinese - Petiwi (earth), Apah (water), Teja (fire), Bayu (air), Akasa (ether). The suites embrace the designs of nature fashioned in the forms of sacred spirals and organic leaves. The high grass-roofed ceilings, recycled timber floors, air-conditioning and flowing white curtains invite you to relax and find peace. The Asian style teakwood bed and sofa lounge areas are designed with traditional hand-woven songket and ikat, commonly used for Balinese weddings and royal ceremonies. The adjoining indoor/ outdoor bathroom features a tropical lush garden with a rich masonry stone wall and a large open sky shower area furnished with Fivelements’ signature botanical essence amenities sourced directly from local farmers.
All 3 gourmet meals per day on this retreat are included in the package price and are Vegan.
Fivelements’ Sakti Dining Room™ is dedicated foremost to healing cuisine. Here, Fivelements will show you that you don’t have to sacrifice the beauty and pleasure of food in order to enjoy healthy eating. Over half the selections are living raw food dishes, which are rich in nutrients and sakti healing power. The remaining dishes on the menu are lighter Vegan preparations that nourish the body and soul.

The Yoga we teach is a fusion of different styles that we enjoy and that have influenced our personal practice.
Our classes are for all levels.
Although the Yoga we practice does not belong to one particular school or tradition, we teach a combination of Sivananda, Vinyasa flow, Hatha and the Five Element Form from Tantric Yoga.
We received our teacher certification in Thailand and have taught at renowned Yoga retreat centers in Thailand and India.
We co-instruct our classes, so this is a unique opportunity to experience the combined energy of the masculine and feminine.
Because we co-instruct, we are also able to pay extra personalized attention to our students throughout the class.
Our classes always include breath awareness and Pranayama (breathing exercises).
Our students from around the world have varied in experience and demographic.
We have taught Yoga to people on a Detox program, “office bodies”, expecting mothers, 70 years + and everyone in-between.
The aim of our Yoga classes is to get people moving, ignite a passion for life, have fun, open the heart and explore the soul!
We are never interested in what the physical body can or can’t do …. it’s all about the flexibility of the heart and mind!
One thing is for sure, you will laugh and be inspired in our class.
SPECIAL RETREAT FEATURES
Traditional Balinese Ceremonial Blessing
The retreat’s closing ceremony will feature an ancient fire ceremony known as Agni Horta.
Agni Hotra is an ancient fire ceremony originating from the Hindu sacred scriptures, the Vedas. Centuries past, the tradition of Agni Hotra in Bali was embraced and fused with animistic rituals; however, following a great fire, it fell out of practice nearly 350 years ago. Today, there is a revival of the practice of Agni Hotra for its powerful healing effects not only in Bali but worldwide.
Agni refers to fire and Hotra means, healing. This healing fire ceremony is considered one of the highest Vedic rituals. Specially trained priests make offerings into the fire while reciting Sanskrit mantras to invoke blessings of health and abundance. Participants are also invited to join the priests at specified times with offerings given to the fire, a symbol of divine light.
The ritual energizes and purifies the environment, a healing for both the participants and those living in the area. There are many anecdotal stories of healing in relation to the Agni Hotra and even evidence of benefits to agricultural areas where Agni Hotra is performed. We invite you to Fivelements Agni Hotra ceremony to steep in the atmosphere of this sacred tradition and experience its benefit.
Participating in the Agni Hotra
Your presence and participation in the ceremony magnifies its effects. You can participate by holding a pure intention of healing and blessing for yourself or another, by reciting the mantras, and by making offerings to the fire.
Mantras in the Agni Hotra Ceremony
Mantras in the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit are understood to initiate transformation and healing as we resonate with their subtle vibration. Reciting these sacred sounds with the priests helps to charge the ceremony with the power and intent of the mantras.
Participants are invited to make offerings into the fire as guided by the priests. Offering of fruit is an expression of gratitude for what we have, acknowledging the blessings in our lives.
Sugar is the symbol of forgiveness. When offering the sugar you may ask “Sorry” for whatever you would like to be forgiven for.
The coconut symbolizes our Ego. By breaking the hard shell of the coconut and let the pure coconut water out, we remove our hard shell and open up our pure heart.
Closing of the Ceremony
The agni hotra closes with a blessing for divine protection. The priests offer bracelets to the participants as a blessing and reminder of the ceremony.
Three colors represent the Hindu Trinity and the process of life: Creation, Preservation, Disintegration.

Optional extras - Healing at Fivelements
At Fivelements, Puri Ahimsa, healing is inspired by the Balinese way of life, which encourages us to nurture harmony with spirit, the environment and with one another. Similarly, their holistic approach is designed to tune-in on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels, allowing an organic healing process to naturally unfold. They collaborate with guests to activate, facilitate and nurture a new healing path, and this begins by honoring your highest potential.
Fivelements embraces holistic Balinese-inspired therapies administered by traditional Balinese healers using ancient wisdoms passed down from direct lineage. Following the Balinese principle of Sekala-Niskala, which holds that we all live equally in two worlds; the seen or conscious world Sekala, and the unseen or psychic world Niskala, the Balinese healers engage the help of the higher divine source during each healing session. Intuitive bodywork is synchronized with energy or prana to identify, balance and heal.
Guest Liaisons and Healing Reception Team are pleased to guide you in selecting appropriate therapies or retreats suitable for your particular needs and goals.

HOW TO PREPARE
Even if you are a Vegan or Raw foodist, it is good to give your body a break and detoxify at least once a year. In order to get the most from your experience, we recommend abstaining from caffeine, cigarettes, alcohol, meat, fish, dairy and eggs, prior to your trip for at least a week, longer if possible. Caffeine in particular (even 1 cup a day) can cause severe withdrawal headaches & we don’t want you to be going through this and miss out on the fun! Please email us if you have any questions on how to ease into the process. It is so worth the effort, you will feel rejuvenated…guaranteed!
GETTING TO MAMBAL
** On the first day of the retreat (Monday 7th October) all retreat participants should check in at Fivelements by 1:00pm. Lunch will be served at 2:00pm.
How do I get to Bali?
Bali is a small island set amidst the 17,000+ islands of the Indonesian archipelago. It is approx. 3 hours due south of Singapore, and 3 hours north of Perth, Australia. The international airport is called Ngurah Rai International, and the arrival city is Denpasar (DPS).
How do I get to Mambal from the airport?
From the airport (Ngurah Rai International) to Mambal takes about one hour.

Do I need a visa?
Yes, a visa is required for Indonesia. A visa-upon-arrival system is in place for most countries including Australia, Canada, US & EU citizens.
